Terms and conditions for using our analytics platform

Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using SLMA (Second Life Marketplace Analytics), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
These terms apply to all users of our analytics platform and related services.
Service Description
What We Provide
- Analytics Platform: Business intelligence tools for Second Life marketplace merchants
- Data Processing: Analysis of sales transactions, customer behavior, and product performance
- Real-time Integration: ANS webhook system for live marketplace data
- Historical Analysis: CSV upload and processing for historical business data
- Support Services: Customer support, documentation, and technical assistance
Account Terms and Conditions
Account Creation and Security
- You must be the owner or authorized user of the Second Life avatar account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- One account per avatar - multiple accounts for the same avatar are prohibited
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
Subscription and Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Payment is processed in Second Life Linden Dollars (L$)
- Subscriptions do not automatically renew - all extensions must be purchased manually in-world
- Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable - we recommend trying 1 month first
- Annual subscriptions may be refunded (minus 1 month fee) if cancelled within 30 days
- Service may be suspended for non-payment after a grace period
Acceptable Use Policy
Prohibited Activities
You may not use our service to:
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent data
- Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from our platform
- Interfere with or disrupt our service or servers
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
Permitted Use
You may use our service for legitimate business analytics purposes related to your Second Life marketplace activities, including analyzing sales data, understanding customer behavior, and optimizing your business performance.
Data Ownership and Rights
Your Data
You retain ownership of all business data you upload or provide to our service. We process this data solely to provide analytics services.
Our Platform
We retain all rights to our platform, software, algorithms, and intellectual property. You receive a limited license to use our service.
Data Export
You can export your data at any time. Upon account termination, we will provide a reasonable period for data retrieval.
Service Availability and Support
Service Level Expectations
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
- Customer support is available through our ticketing system
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
- Data backups are performed regularly but users should maintain their own copies
Limitations of Liability
Service "As Is"
Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analytics data or insights provided by our platform.
Limitation of Damages
Our liability to you for any damages arising from the use of our service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Refund Policy
Our Fair Refund Approach
We believe in letting you try our service risk-free. Here's how our refund policy works:
- Start with 1 month: We encourage all new users to try our 1-month subscription first
- No automatic renewal charges: If you don't like the service, simply don't renew - you won't be charged
- Monthly subscriptions: Non-refundable (since you can try just 1 month with no commitment)
- Annual subscriptions: If you decide within 30 days it's not for you, we'll refund the full amount minus 1 month's fee
Refund Timeline
Annual subscription refunds must be requested within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days and returned in the same currency (Linden Dollars) used for purchase.
Account Termination
Termination by You
To cancel your subscription, simply don't make another payment when your current period expires. All subscription extensions must be purchased manually in-world - there are no automatic renewals or charges.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Extended periods of account inactivity (over 12 months)
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email and by posting a notice on our platform. Continued use of our service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
Changes take effect 30 days after notification unless you terminate your account.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our service is operated. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
You agree to resolve any disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits.
